Michel de Hey has been a key player for a good few years now. His labels have always had a particular sound and branding that has been very individual and in tune with the music in his dj sets which means that there will always be funk, depth and some musical qualities in there. His label Hey records is always reserved for tracks that he has produced himself. This release is 2 fat remixes of the Snert track from the hey006 release. Here he has enlisted the huge talents of Paul Kalkbrenner and D'Jinxx to supply the remixes. The A side remix from Paul Kalkbrenner is a real deep journey. It starts with wonderful deep chords and building intro before the first break and then drop with fat bassline. The track then adds layers superbly with stylish chords edits from the original track. On the flip side D'Jinxx offers up what can only be described as a musical masterpiece with its rich pads and bubbling synth undercurrents. This has a definite Ibiza terrace vibe with its subtle uplifting feel yet remaining extremely classy. 2 solid remixes here not to be missed.
