Panta Rei, “everything flows”, isn’t just a concept formalised by the great Greek minds of old, it is also one of the outstanding tracks on Agoria’s album, which has been high on the setlists of the world’s most cutting-edge DJs for the past few months, and a sun-drenched hit to be released on vinyl as the Summer season opens.
 
This “radiant” techno track also bears Agoria’s trademark by once again striking a subtly thought-out balance that speaks both to mind and body. Featured on the A-side, the “Balearic mix” version, crafted by the boss himself, retains the essential elements of the original – an endlessly, dizzyingly spinning loop set to a terribly “caliente” rhythmic pattern, perfectly calibrated for the open-air dancefloors.
 
Back in top(-hat) form, Danton Eeprom delivers a version that sees him confound expectations to distil retro-futuristic effects and a dash of new-wave nostalgia, resulting in a remix that is as unexpected as it is irresistible and should be listened to with eyes closed and hands in the air.
 
One of Agoria’s special favourites, the mysterious Spanish producers Analog Solutions, deal in a very vintage brand of aesthetics as their name suggests. Entrusted to the expert hands of Eduardo de la Calle, “Panta Rei” becomes more radical as lush synths kick in, alongside some disconcerting piano notes and a good old, “rough and ready” exhilarating bass line. A track only available on vinyl. Rave on!
